Dance #5: Sorrow

Words fail. You do not want to learn anything from this; you don't want to get over it. Nothing really matters anymore. Claw meekly at the cliff-face as you tumble in freefall. You try in vain to lift your arms; they weigh too much. Just breathe. You are not afraid anymore. Your head is burning. How can this be all that there is? What does anything mean? What can anything mean? It's almost impossible to cry.

Just like Dance #3 (Inhumanity), Sorrow is very popular among our younger dancers. It's relatively undemanding in terms of pace and complexity of movement, and so is suitable for children aged 5 and up. The world is a noisy place, but you no longer hear it. It's hard to remember, now, when you stopped listening.
